Jewett (Judy) Narveson, 91, of Alexandria, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at the Bethany Nursing Home in Alexandria where she had resided since December 2003. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 14, at the First Lutheran Church in Alexandria.
Judy was born on Feb. 19, 1918, to John and Esther Winjum. She married Maynard Narveson on Nov. 17, 1937. They moved to Le Sueur in 1950 and in 1962 they moved to Alexandria, where they owned the Shady Lane Resort for 10 years.
Judy is survived by her sons, Darrel of Le Sueur, and Terry of Alexandria; daughter, Carol Thistlewood of Spring Lake Park; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. |
