| Police close out January with a light week |

Law enforcement is hardly child’s play, but the Le Sueur Police Department responded to a call on Jan. 29 involving just that.
At 7:56 p.m. an officer was dispatched to Birch St. for a report of youngsters playing on a skateboard involving a vehicle.
It was one of the quieter weeks in recent memory for the department, although they did roll to a number of calls.
Jan. 26
• Police were dispatched at 8 a.m. to a fire alarm at the Welcome Home assisted living complex on Plum Run.
• At 11:25 a.m. an officer took a theft report of a computer on Turril St.
• An officer took a theft report of a cell phone on Second St. at 4:47 p.m.
Jan. 27
• At 10:15 police returned to Welcome Home for another fire alarm.
• Police responded to the Le Sueur-Henderson Middle/High School for a vandalism complaint at 10:30 a.m.
Jan. 28
• An officer assisted a motorist on U.S. Highway 169 who ran out of gas at 8:17 p.m.
• The department assisted Nicollet County with locating an individual.
Jan. 29
• Police were dispatched to a car/deer accident at 1:30 a.m.
• At 5:25 p.m. an officer removed an uncooperative intoxicated individual from a business.
Jan. 30
• A speeding citation was issued on Highway 169 at 8:32 a.m.
• An officer was dispatched to Mars Pet Care at 5 p.m. for a fire alarm. The alarm was accidently tripped by an employee.
• A citation was issued on Highway 169 at 9:03 p.m. for no proof of insurance.
Jan. 31
• At 2:21 p.m. an officer assisted a motorist whose car had broken down on the Highway 169 hill.
• Citations were issued in the area of Highway 169 and State Highway 93 at 9:47 p.m. for speeding and no proof of insurance.
