| Police look to catch up with hot dog |

LE SUEUR – Someone pinched a pooch. At least that’s what was reported to to the Le Sueur Police Department. On Feb. 28 an officer took a report at 6:45 p.m. of a theft of a dog on Jay St. Police hounded the area for clues as no one was seen flea-ing the scene.
The department made tracks to a number of other calls that week.
Feb. 22
• An officer was dispatched to a business at 11:35 a.m. for a shoplifter.
Feb. 23
• Police were dispatched to a residential fire alarm at Conifer Terrace at 12:45 p.m. It was a false alarm.
• At 5:25 p.m. the department assisted Sibley County with a one-vehicle rollover on County Road 8.
Feb. 24
• Stray dogs were picked up on Kingsway Drive, and the area of Fourth and Maag St. at 3:20 and 3:25 p.m.
• At 3:29 p.m. an officer took a report of a phone scam.
• Police investigated a forged check complaint at 4:51 p.m.
• An officer took a report of an assault on Todd Court at 5:28 p.m.
• A car/deer accident which occurred in the area of the river bridge on State Highway 93 was reported at 10:30 p.m.
Feb. 25
• The department assisted a stalled school bus on Myrick St. around noon.
• The department assisted the Brownwood, Texas Police Department in locating an individual.
• Police received a complaint of a dog running on Turril St. unleashed at 1:30 p.m.
• At 4:31 p.m. an officer took a report at Foxborough Lane of suspicious phone calls.
Feb. 26
• Police were dispatched to a driving complaint on Fifth St. at 9:53 a.m.
• A citation was issued on Ferry St. at 2:25 p.m. for underage possession of alcohol.
• An officer was dispatched to County Road 26 at 7:21 p.m. for a two-vehicle accident resulting in property damage.
• Police received a report at 7:22 p.m. of checkbooks stolen from a vehicle on Market St.
• A hit-and-run accident at Conifer Terrace was reported at 9:14 p.m.
Feb. 27
• A speeding citation was issued on Commerce St. at 12:15 a.m.
• Police were dispatched to a gas drive-off at 7:30 p.m.
Feb. 28
• A female party was arrested on Swan St. at 2 a.m. for DWI.
• A citation was issued on Second St. at 4:13 a.m. for overtime parking.
• A speeding citation was issued in the area of Elmwood Ave. and Turril St. at 3:50 p.m.
