Funeral services for Victor D. Reinhardt, affectionately and lovingly known as “Pop,” 90, of Garden City, S.C., were held Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009 in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, S.C. Dr. Donald F. West officiated. Interment was in Woodridge Memorial Park.
Mr. Reinhardt, husband of the late Dorothy Black Reinhardt for 29 years, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009. He was born in Le Sueur, the son of the late Henry Reinhardt and Irene Delzer Reinhardt. After 29 years he retired from the U.S. Army as Chief Warrant Officer Two. He was awarded the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star while in Europe during World War II. Mr. Reinhardt retired from his second career with the Department of Youth Services. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his sons, Henry (Laura) Reinhardt of Monroe, Mich., and Gary Reinhardt of River Oaks, Texas; daughter, Deborah (Randy) Knotts; stepsons, Joey Black, Tony Black and Rodney Black; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a stepson, Ric Black. |
